First Build
Hello! This is the first dev-log of the Stella Game.
(I've never done this before, so lets all learn together)
Stella is my Dog, and I wanted to make a video game about her. As all dog owners will tell you: dog-human communication is extremely important, but can also be very difficult. Being able to tell your dog what you want them to do, and also understanding when your dog wants you to do something is a very rewarding challenge for all dogs and their owners. Stella was born completely deaf. So learning how to best bridge that communication gap with her has been a really fulfilling experience and formed the early concept of the game.
"How do I tell Stella I want her to do something?" /// "How does Stella tell me that she wants me to do something?"
Those were the two questions that I often asked myself when Stella first came into my life. But, over time we figured it out! It all came down to pointing with my finger where I wanted her to go. Point where you want her to go, and she'll go there (most of the time). If she doesn't go there she is telling you that she doesn't want to (for some reason), or simply cannot go there (for some reason).
This sounds like a cool game idea! 7 Months later... and here we are. The game is pretty far along, maybe somewhere between ALPHA ~ BETA phases. I've been putting it in front of friends and family via a handful of tablets, but I've never put anything on itch.io before - so I'm looking to try and get as much feedback as possible.
Eventually iPhone, Android, PC, and Mac builds will all come in due time... but for now, this is the easiest way to put the game in front of people.
Thanks!

Stella needs help to reach her goal, but she can't hear you. You can only point where she needs to go.
